  1. Maintain safe egress, or exit, in showroom floor areas. During the holidays stores will carry more inventory, ensuring your guests have safe passage ways.
  2. Be careful of overhead stock storage and the danger associated with it collapsing.
  3. Make sure you are up to code. Maintenance, international fire codes, and other codes to help you maintain safety.
  4. Ensure your place is clean. Increase in inventory usually means an increase in combustible debris.

  4. It’s best not to use candles, however, if you do use them keep candles at minimum 12 inches away from anything flammable. Make sure all candles are blown out when going to bed or leaving the room.
  5. Make sure you are using lights appropriately, not all plug-in lights are suited for indoor and outdoor use.
  6. Choose a Christmas tree with fresh green needles that do not fall off when touched.
